Pat Rabbitte Meets Seán And Síle Citizen – Again

Pat Rabbitte, rottweiler of the Labour politburo, seems to have a habit of coming a cropper in hotel bars and public houses. What will the Dear Leader think about all this then? Expect some serious Garda overtime for the next week or two. It’s an ill wind that blows nobody any good.

The first video below seems to be from some rather odd libertarian-type (Slán Abhaile Eachtrann? Seriously?) so apologies but worth a watch.

Update 24/07/2013: Video removed and now hosted on the YouTube channel of Dublin Says No.

Film maker of today’s footage above on 4fm now [21:29] – radio host is an idiot asking whether protest gets answers! – Did Boycotting in 1880s Ireland get answers? No! Was it right to do it? YES!

These people have no comment because they have no answers. The younger and junior politicians in both Government parties are looking at their options and formulating strategies to survive the next election. They are in serious trouble and the likes of Mr Rabbitte know it. It will not surprise me that many of his ilk will retire and not even contest the next election.

As yes, the rumour mill is fairly churning with news that several Labour TDs are ready to “spend more time with their family” rather than face electoral humiliation. Of course they will hold out as long as possible before announcing it, in some cases deliberately so in order to give Gilmore and co. the one finger by making candidate selection as awkward as possible.

MPG: current troop of bonobos are no different from last crowd – institutionalised greed and self aggrandisement in the political classes reflection of wider community’s spendthrift cheerleading – no debate on wider sociological decay – ‘Celtic-Tiger’ greed hasn’t gone away: kindling for another property bubble already lit with guarantee of a greater tragedy to come [bbc.co.uk/programmes/b036vvrn]
