Ireland’s Jewish Revolutionaries

Yitzhak HaLevi Herzog - the Sinn Fein Rabbi
Yitzhak HaLevi Herzog, Rabbi of Belfast and later Chief Rabbi of Ireland (1919-1936). Nicknamed the “Sinn Féin Rabbi” by the British due to his sympathy for the Irish Revolution and close friendship with Éamon de Valera

The always fascinating Dublin history and culture blog Come Here To Me has another excellent article on the capital’s recent past, this time an overview of the most prominent members of the city’s Jewish community who fought in or supported the Irish revolution of 1916-1923. Included in the list is Michael Noyk, the leading Sinn Féin lawyer of the period, and Bob Briscoe TD, officer of the Irish Republican Army and later Lord Mayor of Dublin. Also worthy of mention is Estella Solomons, the noted portrait and landscape artist who was active with the Cumann na mBan (CnamB) throughout the War of Independence and beyond.

  1. More disgusting Judeophilia from the Zionist Palesman, Mr. Fox. “Ireland’s Jewish Revolutionaries”? Hmmm.

    (1) Josce of Gloucester, the funder of Richard Strongbow.
    (2) Menasseh ben Israel, the funder of Oliver Cromwell.
    (3) Francisco Lopes Suasso, the funder of William of Orange.
    (4) Benjamin Disraeli, the biggest enemy of Daniel O’Connell.
    (5) Nassau William Senior, the partisan of John Russell.
    (6) Nathan Rothschild, the funder of the Ulster Volunteer Force.
    (7) Ronit Lentin, Alan Grossman & Alan Shatter advocates of flooding Ireland with Africans/Asians.

What a wonderful tribe of people. What great friends of the Gaels. I wonder who would win in a kosher backside kissing contest, the social liberal, Norman-descended Zionist Palesman, Mr. Fox or one of the weirdo Lowland Scots Calvinist Zionists from Belfast?

  2. No, because its clear that different racial groups behave and perform differently, resulting in different cultures. Although there is some tie in with IQ, that’s not the entire story. Normans and Anglos are minimally different from irish, genetically speaking, adn therefore blend in well. Koreans generally have higher IQs, and while I think that the culture of one million Koreans will always look different than the culture of one million native Irish, the higher average IQ would help many North Asians to blend in as well. However, the story changes drastically with individuals from groups who have lower average IQs, are more sexually and emotionally impulsive, and are proven to be more violence prone. The state of a place form which a person originates is a fantastic predictor of the state of the place that they will create wherever they land.

Beyond behavior and culture, there is also the issue of phenotypic diversity. It is a valid value to prefer to preserve a specific phenotype.

Last, the first poster commented on a noticeable hostility from Jews toward the enthnic preservation of the Irish culture and genotype. It could be further noted than most of these modern Jewish anti-racists are pro Jewish intermarriage and pro Jewish ethnostate. He is inferring that their anti-racism is not born out of moral authority, but out of a group political strategy that is directly hostile to the Irish. His opinion seems to be well reinforced by similar hypocritical political behavior of Jews throughout the west.

Surely the defining characteristics are derived from local environmental conditions (cultural, socio-economic, political, etc.) in the territory of origin and the territory of destination? Attributing those to “race” or other pseudo-scientific explanations is untenable. In addition such conditions change, sometimes dramatically. The general perception of the Swedes, Danes or Norwegians in 21st century Europe is very different from the general perception held in 11th century Europe! Formerly impoverished or underdeveloped regions of Africa may evolve into economic powerhouses over the coming decades (with some “helpful” input from the Chinese).

“…the first poster commented on a noticeable hostility from Jews toward the ethnic preservation of the Irish culture and genotype.”

I have yet to see any such hostility. The historic Jewish community in Ireland was as divided on the question of Ireland’s national freedom and culture as any other community in the country. The lower ranks of Britain’s colonial paramilitary police force in Ireland, the RIC, were filled with people of indigenous Irish descent, if one were to term it that way. Not Jewish-Irish. In the 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries the British judiciary, the civil service, etc. in Ireland were made up of plenty “Macs” and “Os” as well as “Fitzs” and “des”. Yes Jews participated in the British Occupation. But Jews also resisted it. In fact, in this, they were perfectly Irish.
