In The Footsteps Of Anne

A quick word about the book “In the Footsteps of Anne”, a compendium of stories drawn from the experiences of female political prisoners in Ireland gathered together by members of “Voices: Irish Republican Women Ex-Prisoners Group” and first published in 2011. The Dublin launch of the reissued collection will be tomorrow, Thursday 26th September 2013, at 6.30pm in Club na Múinteoiri, 36 Parnell Square West, with a second event in the Connolly Bookshop, 43 East Essex Street, on Saturday the 28th of September at 2.00pm. A full review of what looks to be a fascinating and much-needed history can be found here.

  1. These are the facts that are true while continued injustices related in present times of various past forms remain . These girls suffered unbelievable horrors in Armagh prison. I passed ir recently and its a closed building. It hard to believe its history. The first protest I went to was there and it was a bit of a mix up .It was supposed to be a women only protest. The Girls that time got it really bad.
