A quick post for the night that’s in it to thank everyone who has read, followed, shared or contributed to An Sionnach Fionn over the last twelve months. It’s been a busy year with 431 articles or pieces posted on the website and your support, observations and pointers have been greatly appreciated. With over 300,000 views from 188 nations and territories the standout figures in 2014 were:

170,082 from Ireland

90,359 from the “UK” (for which the WordPress stats include visitors from the north-east of Ireland)

57,198 from the United States

6,392 from Canada

6,370 from Australia

5,791 from Germany

5,535 from France

3,384 from Spain

3,037 from Belgium

2,670 from Italy

2,493 from New Zealand

1,705 from the Netherlands

1,591 from Finland

1,584 from Poland

1,385 from Russia

Unique visitors include the single views from Greenland, Fiji and Guyana.

Aside from search engines (Google, Bing, etc.) the biggest referers to ASF have been Facebook, Twitter, Syniadau, Cedar Lounge Revolution, Reddit, Politics.ie, Bellacaledonia, Slugger O’Toole, TheJournal.ie, Broadsheet.ie and great blogs like We In Coming Days May Be, Keeping an Eye on the Czar of Russia, Plaid Wrecsam, End Game in Ulster, Cotton Boll Conspiracy and many others (not to mention all those “Encrypted Search Term” referrals that show up in the WP statistics).

With all of the above I hope everyone has enjoyed or found something interesting (or enraging) on ASF for 2014. Once again, let me thank you for your support and your opinions. The time you have taken to comment, share or link to other articles or information is genuinely appreciated.
