Probably the most revealing news story to emerge from the US presidential election so far and it comes straight from the mouth of plutocrat candidate Mitt Romney. After the lacklustre Republican Party convention, with its bizarre performance piece courtesy of (former?) Hollywood icon Clint Eastwood, it didn’t seem things could get any worse for Romney. Then came the murder of US diplomatic officials in Libya and Mitt’s gross misjudgement of the public mood in the United States with his premature attempt to place responsibility for the deaths on the Obama administration.
