The General Election Polls: They’re All About Change

A recent episode of the David McWilliams’ Podcast examining some of the startling results in the latest general election polls. The main message from the analysis by guest Kevin Cunningham? The growing dissatisfaction of middle-aged and middle-class voters with the Establishment parties of Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil and a desire for change, represented by the rising popularity of Sinn Féin. But will that lead to an anti-establishment tsunami at the ballot box? Probably not. However a significant surge is entirely possible.
